Jessica “Jess” Donaldson is a Chicago based costume professional hailing from Tampa, Florida, with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Costume Technology and a Minor in Management from DePaul University. During her time since graduation, Jess has been a costume shop assistant at The Court Theatre, a costume production assistant on Saturdays season one on Disney Channel, and completed her second apprenticeship with the Santa Fe Opera as a stitching apprentice.

Currently, Jess is the Assistant Costume Shop Supervisor at Northwestern’s Wirtz Center. There, Jess is honing her skills as an aspiring Costume Director, assisting in the realization of between 11 and 13 productions per academic year.

On a personal level, Jess is passionate not only about her craft, but about human rights and equality work. The intersectionality of her own identity lends her a unique perspective working in theatre as a whole, and contributes to her determination and drive as a costume professional.
